Rhythmic Flow: The Art of Vinyasa Yoga
Class Overview:
Rhythmic Flow is a dynamic, flowing style of yoga rooted in the traditions of Ashtanga. While the postures (asanas) mirror those of Ashtanga, they are performed in a free-flowing sequence that allows for creative expression and variation. In this class, each instructor brings their unique style and sequence, making every session a fresh and invigorating experience.
Vinyasa, meaning “breath-synchronized movement,” is characterized by the seamless transition between postures, each timed with the breath. This fluidity creates a continuous flow, with each pose linked by a series of movements known as a “Vinyasa” (plank, low plank, upward-facing dog, downward-facing dog).
The beauty of Rhythmic Flow lies in its variety; the sequence, or “flow,” can differ in each session, even with the same instructor. This flexibility allows instructors to focus on different areas of the body or adapt the flow to the specific needs of the class, offering a personalized and engaging practice.
